I was trying to decide what a good number would be for my top books of 2016 and came up with 12. But as I was looking through all my 2016 reads I realized that it is a lot harder than I thought, because I didn’t want any repeat authors really. But I stuck with my original number.
So here are my top 12 books of 2016. These books are the ones that surprised me, really stood out to me and or I already loved the author or series. Some if not most are not ever 5 Stars but they stood out to me in some way or another.I discovered some really awesome new authors and books this year which of course always makes me happy.
I just want to take a second and thank each and everyone of you for all your support throughout the year and beyond. It means more to me than I ever could form into words, so THANK YOU.
Anywho, here are my top 12 books that gave me the feelz but there is in no way a order to it I just picked 12 with no order to it as I post them.

Music Notes by Lacey Black
That’s what I came to do.
I was prepared to do just that until I walked into my audition and saw him. Tall, mysterious, and gorgeous to boot, he was sitting at the coaches’ table with three others, ready to judge my performance, and decide my future. Yet, since I’d walked onto the stage, he continued to look at anything but me. So, I did the one thing I was there to do: sing. When I opened my mouth and let those words spill from my lips, he finally looked up. Those startling, dark eyes collided with mine with such intensity that I knew one thing for certain: I would never be the same.
I am Layne Carter, newest contestant on Rising Star, the biggest singing competition on reality television. Nothing can stop me from giving this show my all. Not my horrible diva roommate. Not the fact that I’m terribly homesick and miss my family. And certainly not my uncontrollable growing attraction to my coach, Beau Tanner, award winning country superstar. Nothing will stand in my way.
And I’m wrong.
