Hate your job? Try working in HELL!
Melody Angel takes a job as a temp at the HELL Corporation. Surrounded by eternal bureaucracy gone mad, demons who love making life miserable, and dying for a decent coffee, it may take a miracle for Mel’s mission to succeed. She must find out what evil plans the Lord of Lies has up his sleeve and stop him, using any means necessary. Lucifer and his minions are out to take over the world, but there’s more than money at stake when the Devil drives.
Adding trouble and temptation to Mel’s job is Luce Iblis, the damnably hot CEO, who has set his smouldering eyes on the new office angel and is determined to claim her, body and soul.
Can ultimate evil and angelic perfection escape a limbo of desire and find a paradise of their own?
I really enjoyed this book and thought it was somewhat unique. In most books about angle versus demons we hear about the big bad Lucifer but we don’t usually get a good close up view on him. Least not in a lot if what I read. Anyways, here we do and I have to say while “Luce” has an on track mind (sex), he is not all that bad. There seems to be much more to him, other than being the ruler of hell of course. I really enjoyed this new spin on Lucifer and really liked him and his sense of humor.
I also loved Mel; she is smart, funny, loving and caring and open to some hot action. She was a perfect angel I thought, she cared about everyone and wants to make sure everyone is okay, even if they are demos. She also sees that there is more to Luce than most people do and an even checks up on him even after her job is done.
Overall, I Loved this book and the funny yet heartwarming and semi new twist on angels and demons. The end was great but yet so cruel to end it at that spot. I can’t wait to get the next book and see how it all plays out.
I rate it 4 ★
Some of my favorite quotes:
“Perhaps because I see more than most and it’s hard to fear what you know intimately. Darkness concealing light, at a depth where most won’t look. A destiny that can’t be stopped, only delayed. A desire for…vindication. A broken heart that wishes to be healed. A penchant for proof, but not destruction. A soul hidden deep within ice. Yearning, yet a strong fear if pain. Loneliness and longing for….”
“It’s you. You breathe the tiniest whisper of your vitality into everything around you and it’s as if the whole world comes to life.”
