The ultimate forbidden love – when Lucifer falls for an angel.
Luce and Mel unearth an age-old conspiracy behind his fall from Heaven which could doom their love for eternity. Yet in the deepest levels of Hell lies a secret that could hold their salvation.
Eternal damnation awaits any angel who descends into the Pit of Despair, but Mel will move Heaven and Earth to save Lucifer’s soul. Armed with little more than the fury of a righteous angel, Mel will raise Hell in the name of love.
From the heights of Heaven to the depths of Hell, can love truly conquer all?
A tiny taste of what’s in store:
“Heaven won’t help you if you stand in my way. From HELL Corporation to the Pit itself. Now, more than ever, it’s time for me to go to Hell.”
With barely a gold shimmer in the air, she was gone.
“What do we do now?” Peter asked Michael.
“Pray,” Michael replied. “I’d prefer to let a hundred demons into Heaven, with my blessing, than agree to let Mel go to Hell.”
“Why did you let her go, then?” Peter persisted.
Michael’s laughter was hollow. “Nothing can stop her from fulfilling her destiny. Not you, not me, not Raphael. Not even all the forces of Heaven combined.”
“What about the forces of Hell?”
Michael closed his eyes in defeat. “We’re about to find out, aren’t we?”
This book picks up right where the last one ended. When I saw the title I was wondering why Mel goes to Hell and now I know 😉
We get a look at heaven and hell, and are only shortly on earth. We also get some of Luce’s POV which I enjoyed. But mainly it follows Mel as she walks through all circles of hell for Luce. She does it the way only Mel would, kind, funny and causing trouble in Hell and all that while she is naked. I thought the setting was written very well and very well described that you couldn’t help yourself but be there right along with Mel.
We meet charters we know from “See You in Hell” and some new ones that are still familiar with the story of the heavenly war. I thought it was a nice twist on the story and the characters we know. We also see how powerful Mel really is and that she can do some damage if she wants.
The entire book is full of light humor that was nicely written into a story we all know (The Fall of Lucifer) with some nice twists. There were some things that happened with Lili that I didn’t see coming but I should have but it was good and I can’t wait to see how the entire story plays out in the next book. 🙂
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and rate it at 4 ½ ★
