Monthly Round-Ups 2018

Hello everyone.

I hope you had a wonderful September and a nice start to the fall season. Fall is my favorite season but not because of pumpkins, which I really dislike lol. But I love snuggling up and read with either a nice cup of coffee or tea.

Speaking of reading I did get a fair amount of books in this month, now I just need to find the motivation and time to write the reviews.

As you probably saw the summer time giveaway is over, all winners have been notified. We have a new giveaway up, to make it easier to put it in here at the end 😉
October is coming and with that some awesome new books. Here are some I’m looking forward to. The one I’m most looking forward to and most likely I will make sure I can read is

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass, #7)

Here are just a few of all the awesome October releases.

Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor

25446343

What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli

36260157

The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout

34221193

Shades of Wicked by Jeaniene Frost
38388574

As for what I’m reading for now … Last month I mentioned I started Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers. I decided to wait a bit longer with it since it doesn’t release until February 2019 so I put it aside.

But right now I’m working on Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco,
33784284

Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

The story’s shocking twists and turns, augmented with real, sinister period photos, will make this #1 New York Times bestselling debut from author Kerri Maniscalco impossible to forget.

And I think I will start Cress by Marissa Meyer today

13206828

In this third book in the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, now with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl imprisoned on a satellite since childhood who’s only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue of Cress goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a higher price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

October goals? Just one, having read all my ARCs in time, so I can read Kingdom of Ash when it releases. Other than that I will just go with the flow.

Okay here are finally all my September reads as always you can find the buy-link in the reviews that will be linked. I hope and wishing everyone a happy and maybe spooky October 😉

Happy Reading 🙂

Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast. But Dina is…different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. Under the circumstances, “normal” is a bit of a stretch for Dina.

And now, something with wicked claws and deepwater teeth has begun to hunt at night….Feeling responsible for her neighbors, Dina decides to get involved. Before long, she has to juggle dealing with the annoyingly attractive, ex-military, new neighbor, Sean Evans—an alpha-strain werewolf—and the equally arresting cosmic vampire soldier, Arland, while trying to keep her inn and its guests safe. But the enemy she’s facing is unlike anything she’s ever encountered before. It’s smart, vicious, and lethal, and putting herself between this creature and her neighbors might just cost her everything.
