Exodus from the Seven Cities (The Seven Cities Saga #2) by Jay Brenham

Exodus from the Seven CitiesSynopsis:

Perfect for fans of Run and The Remaining, this is the second story in an action-packed new series that is impossible to put down!

After five years painting ships in the Navy, Sam Connor has big plans for his life after the military…but no plan for surviving a pandemic. With his wife and infant son away visiting relatives, Sam struggles to find them in a world gone mad. In order to survive in a city that’s quickly become unrecognizable he must become unrecognizable himself.

With no gun to protect him and no special skills to show for his military service, Sam‘s ability to adapt and his will to survive are soon put to the test in a city that’s become a nightmare.

My thoughts:

This is the second book in the series and is a full length novel.

This book takes us even further in the story.

We follow different main characters but we still get a glimpse of the characters from book one.

While this book is a full length it is still pretty fast paced.

A lot of things are happening and the book is pretty intense.  We get lots of action and a lot of gore. Everything is pretty dark, we learn get to know more about things that happened and a lot of new things.

Overall this was a great read, that kept me captivated and on the edge if my seat and also kept me guessing what is going to happen.

Overall, great story and characters.

I rate this book at 3 ½ ★
