Blood of the Demon (Demons of Infernum #1) by Rosalie Lario

Blood of the DemonSynopsis:

Keegan lives to exact revenge on the evil demon who sired and abused him. When his father devises a plan to bring on the apocalypse, he and his three half-brothers, interdimensional bounty hunters for the Elden Council, are charged with capturing and delivering their father for punishment.

Art gallery owner Brynn Meyers has no idea that her ability to read memories embedded in objects and drain people of their life force means she has demon ancestry. Unfortunately for Brynn, she’s also the key to raising an ancient zombie army, which puts her on every demon’s Most Wanted List. And no one wants her more than Keegan’s father.Keegan must protect Brynn from his father by any means necessary, but he’ll have to learn to harness the other half of his genetics-the far deadlier, uncontrollable half-when he starts to fall for the one woman standing between him and the vengeance he so desperately seeks. The one woman he’ll never be able to resist

My thoughts:

I picked this book up free at Amazon a while back. I like the whole demons and angels type of books.

But sadly I must say this one was not one for the win. I liked the concept behind the story but that was about it.

Anything else about this book I didn’t like.

I found it hard to relate or follow to most of the characters, even though there were witty, what I usually like in characters. They just didn’t do it for me.

Also the dialog seemed pretty cheesy and often out of place or context at some points in the book.

While I like steamy hot scenes like the next girl, I cant say that was the case for this book. While most were written nicely it all felt a little out of place.

Often it seemed like the sex is the main plot of the book and the rest is just a everything around it.

Overall, I really didn’t care much for this book and the only reason I finished it was to see the end. I hope other readers will enjoy it more than I did.

I rate it at 1 ½ ★

  1. While being informed of more books that are out there is always a good thing (I tend to miss on too many fine books!) I enjoy much more an honest review. I have to say the synopsis sounds nice enough, this is one of those I might have grabbed, like you did because it was free.. so I’m glad to know this is something to stay away from.
Praise to the fact you finished the book. When I book feels like 1-2 rating I abandon sooner rather than later.. 😉
