Shane was ready for a change from his demanding and dangerous job. Just as he finished his final assignment in Europe, he received a request from his best friend back home asking him to use his skills and chase down his wife’s flighty friend. Once he located her, he found himself attracted and feeling protective when troublesome incidents kept occurring around her.
Liz’s desire for love and fulfillment took her to Ireland to explore the land of her ancestors. Little did she know she’d walked right into a dangerous situation that could put her life in jeopardy. Now the sexy, arrogant Shane has inserted himself into her life. Confused and irritated by her attraction to him, she knew she could trust him to keep her safe. She just wished she could trust him with her heart.
“All writers must have cats, especially if they write fantasy or speculative fiction.” Do you have a stand on this one? Any cute pictures of your kitty or other pet?
Sorry to say I’m not a cat person even though my parents have one. Or maybe that’s why. J We failed a dog test early in our marriage and then decided kids where enough. However, my oldest son and his wife (beside presenting us with our first grandchild this year) have a golden doodle, named Gunner, that I adore. We’ve helped take care of him since he was brought home as a puppy. Gunner actually has a role in the first two books in the Mile High Romance Series.
What organizations do you recommend for those wanting to become writers? Any advice you’d like to share about writing?
I’m am, myself, still trying to figure those out for myself. But I will say this about writing. The self-publishing world has opened up opportunities for writers such as myself. I’ve already been encouraging two of my friends to just go for it. As scary as it’s been to put myself out there I am having fun.
What writers inspired you to become an author?
I don’t know if I can pinpoint anything specific. I’ve always just enjoyed the fictional world of stories. Not aspiring to write the “great American novel” allows me to just enjoy simple story telling.
Any special appearances or events coming up that you want to mention?
No, unless it is something 5PP has planned for this launch.
J. L. Petersen lives in Denver with her husband. She finds inspiration in her adopted state of Colorado and her belief love is the most powerful positive emotion we can experience.
