Sunni Wilson, child-wrangler extraordinaire, thought raising twin preschoolers and a teenager was the hardest thing she’d ever do, but that was before she joined the local moms’ group and plunged headfirst into life-threatening hijinks.
A shady character, suspicious packages, and a kidnapped aunt are only the beginning when the moms decide to take the law into their own hands to stop the drug dealers infiltrating their town.
Join Sunni and her friends through the joys of motherhood, kooky neighbors, and hair-raising adventures to find the ones threatening all the group holds dear…their families.
Did or do you ever consider writing under a different pen name and if you so why ?
I have considered a different pen name mostly because I write clean novels at the moment, but would like to write something spicier under another name.
If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?
Get started. When you have an idea or thought, work on it and finish it. I would have almost 20 years worth of books instead of jotted down stories that need to be written.
How do you balance making demands on the reader with taking care of the reader?
I try to write in such a way that the reader is drawn into the story and characters while making sure to reach a conclusion that leaves everyone happy.
What’s the best way to market your books?
That is a funny question because I’m still working on how to make that happen.
What are some of hardest scenes to write?
I haven’t found any one scene hard to write. I’ve had writer’s block when I couldn’t figure out how to write the next chapter. Mostly because I had no idea what was happening next. I enjoy emotionally difficult scenes because my characters come alive during those times for me.
Alathia Paris Morgan is a part-time Avon lady. After the death of her brother in 2013, she decided life was too short to waste the ideas she was given. Since she’d always had stories floating around in her head, she took a shot at writing them down during a NANOWRIMO Camp. She realized quickly that her characters had more than one mystery to solve, which resulted in her Nova Ladies series.
With the support and love of her husband, Alathia continues to bring new worlds to life. Their three daughters and three dogs are more than enough to keep her busy when she is not delivering orders or lost in her imagination.
In her free time, she loves to read and add to her personal library, which has over six thousand books. She also enjoys quilting and watching TV shows while hanging out with her daughters.
